This week I will do the media review on a fantasy webcomic called Brymstone, written and illustrated by Marie Tary.
The story is about an extremely powerful and evil sorcerer called "Darshe the Destroyer" (well the other call him the destroyer). He seems to be unstoppable, so to put an end to the devastation by the sorcerer an order of Monks tries to imprison him. Only it does not turn out as expected...
The publication of the comic is still active currently in it's third chapter, with one new page published every one or two weeks. each chapter id about 25 pages.
Visually the webcomic is very nicely drawn, especially chapter 1 and 3. Chapter 2 was visibly done earlier when the author was less experienced. It is clear that manga had an influence on the character's visual design, but unlike a lot of manga inspired Webcomics this one is in full color from the start, and the coloring is done quite well.
I would recomand it to fans of fantasy and manga. It is a bit reminiscent of the "bastard" manga series by Kazushi Hagiwara.
